Unfortunately where I live in Southeastern Tn, many of the new developments require a minimum house size of 1200-1600 sq ft. Also some of these developments lots are so expensive that it doesn't make sense to build a 750-900 Sq Ft house on them. I'll keep looking but will probably end up buying a rural lot. Many of the existing small 2 bedroom houses are in less desirable neighborhoods.

Please remark on the cost of a house this size…  I inquired about a builder putting a "box" on property I owned, with only plumbing, electricity, water lines and gas lines in place and the cost was $80,000.00!!!…  Unaffordable!!

    Love the tiny houses

I really would have loved to see the entire INSIDE of the homes. Just looking at the outside doesn't give you the knowledge of the inside footprint

Is this a cialis commercial? It sounds like one and it's trying to tell me it's not the size of my 'home' that's important.

The ones hating the idea are simple minded dinosaurs who would rather live in a 2,500 (or more) square foot waste of space while paying three or four hundred dollars a month for utilities. Stick them. That said, I do prefer the ones with more windows and open spaces outdoors. Seven years in, we still love our 896' (32'x28') off grid mountain home. It "lives" bigger, because it has lots of glass, including 16' of it under a 10'x32' covered porch that extends the vaulted ceilings outdoors. ….and we're on over 15 acres with great mountain views (and the closest neighbor is about a mile away). Keep the ugly suburban McMansion fake stucco/brick veneer boxes. I'm glad most people don't want to live up here.

the tiny or small home that's not comportable if you have small land and live in the place where the other home so close to each other…

would have been better to be able to see the floor plan of each one inside because they were a very weird shape on the outside. music didn't really fit video either but overall seeing the outside of some small homes it was ok

Music was nice, but was more along the line of seductive than touring a tiny home.  Personally, I prefer useable information –  a tiny house with a floor plan, photos, approximate cost to build as pictured and contact information for the builder.

The music doesn't fit the subject matter.

You find some of the nicest small homes but I would rather learn more about the builders & designs vs listening to annoying music. You could really be of help to potential Small & Tiny Home owners by providing meaningful commentary instead…

These 'tiny homes' in this video around 900 sq ft make a lot more sense than those 'micro tiny homes' were folks are living in 200 sq ft. These you can actually raise a family in.

My hubby & I's place (got 26+yrs ago) is 900sq ft & we have raised 2 kids in this home. Is there draw backs? Sure, now that the kids are young adults; one commuting to college from home & the other in high school, only having one bathroom gets tricky at times (the time we all 4 got the stomach flu at the same time comes to mind of when one bathroom sucks), plus winters stuck with basically 4 adults in 900 sq ft can get on a person's nerves a bit. Also storage can be an issue so you have to be a bit of a minimalist or at least not be a big collector of lots of items.

But these smaller homes make a lot more sense especially in this economy.
