Very nice box. Now I want to throw away the one I just spent a week making. It works though so I'll use it anyway. I'm a hobby machinist – not a cabinet maker.

Nice Box, Nice Work, very entertaining AND informative! But: i have only one Drillbit per size and i need just one! Try FAMAG (german top brand, very expensive, Set of 5 Drills 80$ set of forstner bits 300$!!!, but you will throw away all others) and they last for years. regards from cologne

Silly question, but where do I find the “Description section at the end of this video” for plans and whatever else. Nothing like that shows on my iPad.
Also, your advice about using smaller scroll saw blades for thin stock was exactly right. Thanks.

I really think you'd have a great career as a snake oil salesman – you could sell anything!

Love the bit storage idea. I need to build something similar. I’ll be sure to post it on my channel when I do. Great job!

Easy way is to set blade height just below the thickness of the material and use a knife or thin kerf saw to separate the lid.
    Great job on the box

    Hi Steve
I'm an amateur woodworker and I am a great fan of yours too.
I've made a couple of your projects ( right angle jig & the herb garden made out of pallet wood)
I, however, am surprised that every project of yours, that I've that seen, that involves a hinge it is always exposed. Why do you prefer that over a recessed hinge hidden under the cover

I love this. Grab the box take it to where you are working. Break a bit and you don't have to keep going back and forth!

You can use a small magnet to pick up tiny drill bits and can accommodate that magnet inside of this box. Cool idea eh?
