Did you use a cart based BBQ? I wanted to use the Weber Genisis, Given the price and quality combo. Any thoughts on this? Counter mount BBQ's seem to be 2x the price point.

I don't know why this seemed so revolutionary to me. Haha such a great idea to do the concrete over old doors. Keep on making videos man, love them!
    Cheers

where u get them doors…. that was awesome… maybe some led lights under the edges of the doors… and a maybe a cut on the table for a removable cutting board…. that wood be cool since the surface is not appropriate to prepare food on….

Great job and material wise one of the cheapest builds in this category. You also are very articulate as well as entertaining! This is everything I look for in great DIY video. I have been researching outdoor kitchens for over a year. My only concern was dropping the grill in without fireproof material.

This material contains crystalline silica and should not be sanded. The more you breath in, the more you're putting your health at risk.

Can you tell me how you mixed the concrete? Did you use 2 parts water to 1 part concrete? It looked thinner than that.

People who use that technique over unsealed wood have seen chipping and cracking within a year. The wood sucks the moisture out, probably swells the wood a bit, which later shrinks back and cracks the crete. It looks like your door was stained or varnished, hopefully that seals out water enough.
