I have a question that I need to have help with. I just bought a 17" Grizzly band saw because I want to do some re-sawing. I also want to do things like band saw boxes. A 1/2" blade came with the saw and I bought a 1/4" blade with 18 teeth per inch and I can't make a tight enough turn with that blade do make a band saw box. I haven't done much in the line of band saw work and I am thinking a 1/4" blade with less teeth per inch would work better and make a tighter radius cut or should I just go to an 1/8" blade?

Steve have you ever done a dedicated bandsaw video like you have for mitre and table saws? Which bandsaw do you have, I've been looking at getting one and wondered how they are best used. Thanks

Wow… i have had a bandsaw for years and also thought that bandsaw boxes were complicated! I have even watched people making bandsaw boxes and they reinforced my belief that it was not something i should tackle. I am heading home tonight to make one!!! Thank you for making this look so easy!

What's in a name! Till today I thought that a bandsaw box is a box in which you put bandsaw blades. Since I did not have a bandsaw till some months ago I never paid attention to this videos on making one, or, if I eventually watch one partly , I did not pay attention to dimensions or the steps how to make them.
But today I was looking for some simple projects for a bandsaw because I have one now and of course I nearly an absolute beginner (only did some straight cuts)
Searching for that I found some really easy (at least on video it seems easy) projects. Among those I this one. And only then I found out that a bandsaw box is not a box for keeping bandsaw blades in it (or even a complete bandsaw) but a box that is made (mainly) with a bandsaw.
One really is never too old to learn something!

Great video, I can't wait to try it myself. Did it only take you a day to complete or longer because you had to let the glue try?

What's the minimum size band saw to make these? 10" or 14" Band saw I'm thinking of buying is a 10" but  cutting capacities are only Height 4-5/8", Width 9-5/8". Also when cutting hardwoods would the 1/3 hp motor do the job?

I challenge you to make this older style of video with an English accent, let's see how many people mistake you for Hugh Laurie (April Fools idea?)

Neat video/box, only real nit I noticed was the entry cut, if not mistaken, what I've picked up over the last few videos is to always cut along the grain, it'll hide the entry cut best. Cool video nonetheless!

Instead of cutting with an entry point couldn't u have just drilled a hole and put your saw through it and cut?
