I need to drive to your neck of the woods to buy plywood – walnut faced 3/4" is about $100 more expensive here.

The walnut looks great on both pieces. Another great project!

The woodglue is stronger than the wood itself. If you use good glue and glue 2 blocks of a soft wood together that sucks up that glue real nice, you can't get the wood apart, if it breaks it will not be the buttcrack in the middle of ur blocks, it will be the wood itself.

It's just the veneer that is Walnut, anyway. And it looks 1000x better than the same Baltic Birch everyone else uses. I really like the way this turned out. #ThisIsHowWeDoIt

I love that you use the wood that makes you happy. With that little price difference I see no reason to not use it.

Great video man! 2 questions. 1) where did you get your holdfasts? 2) Is that the O'Neida router dust shroud? Need one for my PC router too!

Nice shop furniture (your favourite). I love the brush throw at the end, but I missed hearing your cameraman saying "Make something" and no "sand in the place where you …" ;-(

    Speaking about cameraman, I got see-sick at 4:15 😮

PS: I did know almost everything (I was missing your dogs' names)

    All the best David

David has carpet in his wood shop! Why wouldn’t he use walnut ply for his shop furniture? It’s not the American way to stay in the box.

David, excellent build and video as usual.

Use Mahogany if you like for your tools; the more excellence you surround yourself with, the more you love your shop.

Love the project! Your ‘My shop, I build what I want ‘ attitude is healthy & inspiring. It allows us all to watch & learn, but more importantly, challenges us, the viewer to ‘tweak it ‘ to make it useful for our needs . Bravo!

I want to get some sort of dust collection. I saw the bag you had hooked up to your table saw. Is that a cheap alternative to an expensive dust collection?

Wow, your walnut plywood is cheap ! I paid 180 Canuck dollars for a 4×8 sheet of walnut veneer particle board a year ago !
