I have an idea, If you add 4 dowels on the corner, it will be stronger?

I would suggest getting a ripping blade to make future miter half-laps. that way you can save some time with the chisel clean up.

Great work on building the frame, clean, simple with the right amount of detail. Really like the corner joints. As a former picture framer I would suggest that you use a thin acid free paper spacer between the plexi and the poster and replace the cardboard backer with a piece of foamcore as both will protect the poster from any acid in the wood and cardboard and also keep the poster from sticking to the plexi. Just hate to see a poster like that turn brown over the years.

Your frame looks great! I love that you gave the face of the frame some demention instead of just leaving it flat like the majority of frames I see being made on youtube. If you are fond of your poster though, I would highly recommend ditching the cardboard backing and replacing it with either an acid free mat board, or foam core. Cardboard really destroys artwork over time. The acrylic is okay as long as it isnt in any sunlight. 🙂
