Why are the commenters on this video so whiny?

Thank you so much for posting this video! I can really and truly relate to Gina’s story about “having to be a maker.” So nice to hear our shared experience put so succinctly. Well done!

Don't know why this struck me as political, there's nothing but inherent goodness in the video and what she and her partner has achieved is fantastic. But there's still that unsettling political undertone irking from the background, hearing things like Berkeley, embracing, inclusive, "non judgemental" ironically leads you to feel the opposite is true. Inclusive as long as you hold a particular political view.. Rather than discuss the actual space and their facilities in more detail they focused on more idealistic qualities..

Hacker Lab was the first makerspace in the area? If it predates the Davis Makerspace, it does so just barely.

Ok so episode 2 of "meet the maker" will feature a white man right? Since statistics show that like 85-90% of engineers are men right?

I'm always skeptical of those who use the words "non judgmental".

Regardless of how much people may think that position is positive, it is in fact not a positive position.

How do you stay clear of the people that will work to make you fail if you will not judge their hostile actions as being hostile?

I'm not even sure one can be non judgmental a world that has reached utopia, let alone in a world that is so one sided biased that people are judged to be racist because they were born white!

And just an FYI: I have encountered those types of people that will work to make you fail. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They gave me condemnation and false accusations and demanded that I be invulnerable and not need the help of others to the point of being a god.

I assure you, I will not make the mistake of not considering people's true motives!
I will judge and will protect myself from the evil doing hypocrites!

Berkeley, nice conservative college. I wonder if the government minority grants helped her dream come true? She must be one proud innovative Indian, it runs in their geno.
