You could have just used tonic water to make the ice cubes then put those ice cubes in a glass of water so there are no Electronix to be use and you can actually use it as a light thing LOL

DO NOT DRINK FROM THIS GLASS
I can't believe I have to say this. If you have lead solder, you're going to drink toxic lead. Don't be stupid, people!

i tried this and the leds were very bright and nice. i noticed that they would flicker every so often. after about an hour the leds were very dim and then just quit. i used 6 leds with a 9v resistor connected to a 9volt battery…not sure what went wrong

putting the led's in under the glass and lighting it up , then putting real ice and a liquid will make it look great and drinkable

Use the resin on the exposed soldered area's and in the hole the wires pass through, putting water in is no longer a problem.
