wow cds and dvds are getting outdated the only real use is for game discs to avoid long download times but with internet getting better it looks like the cloud and video streaming is going to kill usbs and cds/dvds

"Oh, don't forget the 5V 1A AC adapter, throw it in your box with ALL your AC adapters" – haha. There already so many in that box, too many!

So disappointed. Every suggestion for "giving it new life" involves gutting it and either discarding its mechanical parts or leaving them inanimate.

My Zip drive doesn't come to life when I plug it in. Can you help troubleshoot?

I did something way more satisfying with my old zip drive than what was done in this video, I threw it in the trash because that is where it belongs.

The only thing bad about it was the click of death but I loved those things! I still have a sampler that uses one!

I have a couple of ac adapters. what can I use them for? The dc ones are useful power supplies.

please dont do this to your zip drives. people who use SCSI storage for other vintage devices always need storage.. zip drives are very usefull in their original state for people who use hardware samplers etc etc by e-mu + akai.. Dont do this. theres plenty of usb enclosures. i thought this was a cool video but i thought it was to make a zip drive usable by usb…… dissappointed the author is encouraging people to trash an otherwise usefull vintage piece of equipment

I made a small orbiting space station out of my Zip Drive. Does anybody have a spacecraft capable of restocking the food and water? I fear the current residents may be running out.
